North Rhine-Westphalia: dog crawls in the rat hole: fire brigade digs it out again

Dinslaken (dpa / lnw) - A Jack Russell Terrier got stuck in a forest in Dinslaken (Wesel district) in the shelter of a water rat when he followed his hunting instinct. The dog crawled so deep into the building that he could no longer free himself, as the fire department announced on Saturday. When the animal's noises became quieter and quieter, its owner alerted the fire brigade. 14 emergency services moved in and freed "John Boy" from the cave system, which had to be uncovered with shovels and spades. After an hour and a half, the firefighters were able to dig up the frightened dog and hand it over to its owner, safely protected.
