North Rhine-Westphalia: drunk 53-year-old bites police officers

Hagen (dpa / lnw) - A 53-year-old mobbed police officers in Hagen and bit one of them during a search. According to officials, the incident happened on Saturday night. Paramedics were first called to a restaurant because of a collapsed person. While they were taking care of the medical emergency, an uninvolved guest kept insulting them. The disturbance was so serious that the police were called.

However, the 53-year-old, who is said to have been drunk, refused to hand over his ID. "He resisted a search for identity papers, lashed out and bit a police officer on the hand," the police report said on Saturday. The officer was unharmed. After that, the man was "transferred to police custody".
