North Rhine-Westphalia: E-scooter driver is critically injured

Münster (dpa / lnw) - An e-scooter driver was critically injured in a collision with a car in Münster on Saturday night. According to initial police findings, the scooter driver should not have paid attention to the traffic light when he tried to cross a main road. The 24-year-old was hit by a 64-year-old driver who said he was green. The driver initiated first aid measures with accident witnesses, he himself suffered a shock. Because the scooter driver is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol, a blood sample was taken from him, police said.
