Cologne (dpa / lnw) - After a fire in a Cologne substation, around 25,000 households lost electricity for around four hours. On Thursday evening, the technology in the substation in the Mühlheim district burned, as the fire brigade announced. Around 30 emergency services were "with great caution" on site. The plant had to be disconnected from the electricity for the extinguishing work. The technology was damaged by the so-called smoldering fire, it was said. According to the fire department, electricity was restored after about four hours.
