Essen (dpa / lnw) - After a rainy midweek, it will be sunnier in North Rhine-Westphalia until the weekend. On Wednesday, however, it will initially be cloudy, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced in Essen. A few showers are also possible. The temperatures are a mild 14 to 17 degrees. During the night it loosens up partially, in some areas there are still showers to be expected. It cools down to 9 to 7 degrees.

On Thursday the sky will be cloudy at first, before clearing up later in the day. The maximum values ​​are between 8 and 16 degrees. The night stays dry with temperatures between 9 and 6 degrees.

At the start of the weekend it will be mostly sunny and dry. According to meteorologists, the values ​​will rise to 15 degrees on Friday and up to 16 degrees on Saturday.
