Essen (dpa / lnw) - Gray, rainy and windy weather is expected in North Rhine-Westphalia. At high altitudes and in the Aachen area, isolated gusts of wind are possible on Wednesday, as reported by the German Weather Service (DWD) in Essen. Wednesday therefore begins overcast and rainy again and again, before rain showers appear in the afternoon. The maximum values are between 10 and 14 degrees Celsius. A moderate to fresh south-west wind will blow with strong to stormy gusts. In the vicinity of showers, individual gusts of wind are also possible at low altitudes.
On Thursday, the DWD again expects cloudy to overcast conditions. With maximum temperatures between 8 and 12 degrees, it should occasionally shower. Strong to stormy gusts are again possible in the mountains, which are expected to subside from the afternoon. Friday will continue to be gray and rainy at first, but loosening up and dry conditions are to be expected during the course of the day. The maximum values are between 9 and 12 degrees.
