Dortmund (dpa / lnw) - A 20-year-old woman has the presence of mind to take a photo of a man who is said to have sexually harassed her on a train in Dortmund Central Station. According to the federal police, the young woman, accompanied by her sister, entered a regional express (RE3) towards Oberhausen on Saturday afternoon when the man reached under her skirt and touched her genital area. The 20-year-old immediately took a picture of the stranger with her smartphone, got off the train and reported to the federal police. There she testified that everything happened very quickly and unnoticed by bystanders.
The officials immediately initiated a search at the Dortmund main station and informed the federal police at the station in Gelsenkirchen - but without success. By means of a video evaluation, however, the unknown could be identified, as it was said. As a result, the video recordings from the regional express were secured and investigations into sexual harassment were initiated.
