Herne (dpa / lnw) - On all four weekends in October, drivers at the A42 junction in Herne have to be prepared for restrictions. The road surface will be renewed, only one lane will be available, announced the Westphalia autobahn. The work begins on Friday evening at 8:00 p.m. in the direction of Dortmund and lasts until Monday morning at 5:30 a.m. The same applies to the following weekend from October 14th to 17th. On the second weekend in October, the exit from the Herne-Baukau junction in the direction of Dortmund will also be closed.
On the third weekend - October 21st to 24th - the construction work will switch to the direction of Duisburg. They are to be continued on the last weekend of the current month. In these two cases, too, the restriction to just one lane applies from Friday evening (8 p.m.) to Monday morning (5:30 a.m.).
