North Rhine-Westphalia: man drives on coupling point of regional train

Wanne-Eickel (dpa / lnw) - The Federal Police has provided a man who is said to have traveled on the coupling point between the locomotive and the wagon during a train journey. A police spokesman said that railway employees saw the 37-year-old standing outside on Monday night on the journey from Gelsenkirchen to Wanne-Eickel. After entering the Wanne-Eickel main station, the man got off and sat in the regional express.

When the police asked him, the man did not comment on the allegations. The spokesman said he probably climbed onto the approximately one meter wide dome on the Gelsenkirchen platform. The train was delayed by almost an hour as a result of the incident. The police are investigating.
