Mettmann (dpa / lnw) - A 34-year-old was allegedly injured in the hand with a knife by a young man at the S-Bahn station in Langenfeld near Düsseldorf. According to a police report, the victim was treated by rescue workers after the attack early on Saturday morning and then taken to a hospital. According to the information, the suspect fled after the attack.

According to the police, the 34-year-old had previously come to the aid of a woman on the S-Bahn to Langenfeld from the direction of Leverkusen, who is said to have been molested by the alleged perpetrator. The 34-year-old then got into an argument with him. After stopping in Langenfeld, the alleged perpetrator is said to have pulled a knife and injured the 34-year-old's hand.

The woman he allegedly molested is said to have continued on the S-Bahn. The police have initiated an investigation and are looking for witnesses to apprehend the alleged perpetrator. In addition, the unknown woman from the S-Bahn was asked to report to the police.
