Cologne (dpa / lnw) - At Cologne Central Station, a man is said to have shot at least three homeless men with a so-called ballpoint pen and injured two of them. The allegedly mentally ill 61-year-old was arrested immediately after the incident on Wednesday evening and the murder weapon disguised as a pen and a knife were confiscated, the police and public prosecutor announced on Thursday. A 34-year-old was hospitalized as a result of the attack with facial injuries, his 40-year-old companion was slightly injured in the hand.
The investigators did not comment on the background or other details. A homicide commission was set up. Because there was an arrest warrant for the 34-year-old injured man, he was also arrested.
