North Rhine-Westphalia: Mild temperatures expected in North Rhine-Westphalia

Essen (dpa / lnw) - The weather in North Rhine-Westphalia remains mild at the beginning of the week. As reported by the German Weather Service (DWD), temperatures will reach between 9 and 12 degrees on Monday and Tuesday and even up to 14 degrees on Wednesday. On Shrove Monday, the DWD expects some rain locally, otherwise it will mostly remain dry. However, sometimes strong to - at high altitudes - stormy gusts are possible and it will be heavily overcast. In the evening the wind dies down again. The weather will probably also be cloudy but dry on Tuesday and the wind will also decrease again by then, according to the DWD. On Wednesday, with increasingly cloudy weather, showers or shower-like rain are possible again in places.
