Essen (dpa / lnw) - The weekend in North Rhine-Westphalia will be mostly rainy, sometimes it will also snow. A light drizzle cannot be ruled out on Friday morning, but it will loosen up over the course of the day and the sun will even appear in the south at times, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced. The maximum values are three to seven degrees.
On Saturday night it will be cloudy and partly foggy. There may be drizzle and sleet. The temperatures drop to two to zero degrees, in the south sometimes to minus two degrees. The DWD warned of local ice.
Saturday starts heavily overcast, occasional light rain showers and snowfall at higher altitudes. The temperatures are a maximum of four to six degrees, in the higher mountains at one degree. The trend of clouds and rain at lower altitudes and snow at higher altitudes continues on Sunday. In the evening, snow showers can also occur in lower-lying regions. The maximum values are again three to six degrees, in the higher mountains minus one to two degrees.
