North Rhine-Westphalia: Motorists run over six-year-olds on skateboards

Krefeld (dpa / lnw) - A six-year-old boy on a skateboard was run over by a car in Krefeld and critically injured. The child had to be taken out from under the car by the fire department on Sunday evening and was taken to a hospital, the police said. Accordingly, the six-year-old had been lying on his stomach on the skateboard. The 48-year-old driver ran over the boy with his car when turning into a traffic-calmed area.
