North Rhine-Westphalia: NRW inflation rate is 8.5 percent in February

Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - Inflation in North Rhine-Westphalia has increased slightly. The inflation rate was 8.5 percent in February and thus 0.2 points higher than in January, as reported by the State Statistical Office in Düsseldorf on Wednesday. Compared to January, vegetables (plus 12.7 percent), clothing (plus 2.9 percent) and gas (plus 2.7 percent) have become more expensive. Diesel fuel and heating oil were slightly cheaper than in the previous month.
