North Rhine-Westphalia: NRW with the most deportations in Germany

Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - North Rhine-Westphalia deported 3118 people last year - compared to the federal states, that is the most. This emerges from the response of the federal government to a small question from the left in the Bundestag. Nationwide, 12,945 people were deported last year. Roughly one in four of these deportations was the responsibility of the most populous state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Bavaria is in second place with 2046 deportations, followed by Baden-Württemberg (1650) and Hesse (1018). The smallest federal state of Bremen, for example, only deported 28 people.

In Germany, most people were deported by plane (10,777). 1618 flew from Düsseldorf Airport, 69 from Cologne/Bonn, 14 from Dortmund Airport.
