Duisburg (dpa / lnw) - A senior citizen was tied up in her Duisburg apartment, threatened with a gun and robbed. The 77-year-old first opened the door when three men rang the bell and pretended to be employees of a company, the police said on Friday. When she refused to buy vacuum cleaner bags and tried to close the door, the men pushed and handcuffed her. Accordingly, one of the men threatened the woman with a pistol - the other two searched the apartment. The three fled after the crime on Thursday with cash and jewelry.
The 77-year-old was able to free herself and called the police. She was treated by paramedics. The police are now looking for witnesses.
