North Rhine-Westphalia: Son stabs father during emergency call: Psychiatry

Bonn (dpa / lnw) - The Bonn district court has ordered a 24-year-old who stabbed his father to a psychiatric clinic. The chamber ruled on Friday that he committed the crime but was not guilty because he was suffering from a hallucinatory psychosis.

The special thing about the procedure is that you "have witnessed a homicide and a dying person," said the judge. The accused from Bad Münstereifel first hit his father to the ground in February and then called the emergency number and asked for help. During the phone call to a police officer, he stabbed his father several times with a knife. The mortally wounded man's screams were also recorded. The 56-year-old bled to death at the scene of the crime, and the son was arrested there without resistance.

The 24-year-old said in the process that he wanted to hurt his father, but not kill him. For years he had felt harassed and pressured by him. The judgment is already final.
