North Rhine-Westphalia: Three policewomen injured in action

Windeck (dpa / lnw) - During a police operation in Windeck in the Rhein-Sieg district, a 19-year-old injured three officers. According to the police on Wednesday, the policewomen had been called to a carnival celebration because of a dispute between two groups. When the officers issued a dismissal against the 19-year-old allegedly involved, he attacked them, whereupon the policewomen wanted to take him into custody. However, the young man vehemently defended himself and choked an officer. When both went down, the woman hit her head on the asphalt.

When other police officers were finally able to tie up the drunk man, he kicked and punched two officers. The 19-year-old is now being investigated for assaulting police officers, resistance and insults.
