Düsseldorf (dpa/lnw) - After three weeks in office, the Ukrainian ambassador Oleksii Makeiev will visit North Rhine-Westphalia on Monday. In the afternoon (3.30 p.m.) a conversation with the President of the State Parliament André Kuper (CDU) is planned. Among other things, it should be about the people who fled to Germany from the country attacked by Russia and aid from NRW.

In the morning (10.00 a.m.) the Mayor of Düsseldorf, Stephan Keller (CDU), wants to receive Makeiev, who is then supposed to sign the city's Golden Book. The same is planned for the evening (6:25 p.m.) in Cologne, where Mayor Henriette Reker (independent) is waiting for the 46-year-old. A visit to Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst (CDU) is on the agenda for Tuesday.
