Oelde (dpa / lnw) - After indications of animal cruelty on a farm in Oelde in the Warendorf district, the authorities brought 15 horses to safety on Wednesday. According to a spokesman, video material with evidence of mistreatment had been sent to the district on Tuesday. The material was viewed by the police. A day later, the district veterinarian initiated the transport of the horses to other farms. At least two of the animals had been abused in the past. However, no acute injuries were discovered.
Whether other horses were injured must still be checked. According to the district, the procedure is now with the police and the Münster public prosecutor. "Die Glocke" had previously reported on the use of the district and police in the Lette district of Oelde.
