North Rhine-Westphalia: woman surprised burglars: decisive photographic evidence

Werl (dpa / lnw) - A woman surprised a burglar in her apartment in Werl (Soest district) and took a picture of him with presence of mind. The police had an easy time recording: the man ran into the officials during the next operation, as a police spokeswoman said on Thursday. He was arrested and the public prosecutor's office has requested custody.

According to the information, the 48-year-old burglar got into the house on Wednesday through a tilting window. Among other things, he plugged in small electrical appliances there before the 50-year-old resident suddenly stood in front of him. When he tried to flee, the woman pulled out her cell phone and took a picture. While the officials were still recording the burglary, they got the next assignment: residents of a nearby apartment building had called the police because a neighbor was rioting. The officers drove there - and immediately recognized that the rioters were the man from the burglar photo.
