Dusseldorf (dpa / lnw) - In the absence of Andre Hoffmann, Matthias Zimmermann will lead the injured Fortuna Dusseldorf team on Saturday for the first time as captain. Coach Daniel Thioune announced this on Thursday and did not rule out “further premieres” with a view to the starting eleven for the second division duel with Arminia Bielefeld (1 p.m. / Sky).
"Matthias will lead the team with confidence and do it well," said Thioune, announcing that Florian Kastenmeier was available again. Jordy de Wijs is also returning. In addition to Hoffmann and Rouven Hennings, Marcel Sobottka is also out.
