Russia has stopped delivering oil to Poland

The Druzhba pipeline covers about 10% of Polish giant Orlen's oil needs. Only, it is no longer supplied by Russia, as planned under the last contract in force. "Deliveries via the Druzhba pipeline to Poland have been stopped by the Russian side", deplores the Polish group in a press release sent to Agence France-Presse (AFP).

Orlen assured that this stop will have no impact on the supply of Polish customers and that "all deliveries can be provided [now] by sea".

For several years, Poland has greatly diversified its sources of gas and oil supply. The ruling comes a day after the European Union approved a new set of sanctions aimed at hitting the economy of Russia and Iranian companies accused of supporting its invasion of Ukraine, which began just ago. a year.
