Saxony: accident when overtaking: 66-year-old seriously injured

Schöneck (dpa/sn) - A 66-year-old was seriously injured in an accident in Schöneck (Vogtland district). The driver tried to overtake three vehicles in a row when suddenly a woman driving in front of him swerved to the left, the police said on Saturday. The 66-year-old dodged, got onto the hard shoulder, destroyed several concrete buckets there and crashed into two stone pillars. The car then overturned. The driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the crash on Friday afternoon.
