Oranienbaum-Wörlitz (dpa/sa) - In a detached house in the district of Wittenberg, a 39-year-old is said to have hit his wife several times with a tool and seriously injured her. The 35-year-old was injured in the attack on Thursday evening last week and taken to a hospital, the police and public prosecutor's office in Dessau-Roßlau announced on Monday. There is currently no danger to life.
The man is now in custody on suspicion of attempted homicide. According to the information, he drove away in a car after the crime. The police found him a day later.
