Saxony-Anhalt: 84-year-old trapped by car

Barleben (dpa/sa) - An 84-year-old was trapped by his car and seriously injured. The man parked his car in Barleben (Börde district) on Sunday to remove a larger branch behind the car, the police said on Monday. Because he didn't pull the handbrake, the car rolled backwards, the open driver's door caught the 84-year-old, threw him to the ground and pushed him against a concrete bollard. The man sustained serious injuries to his chest and had to be taken to a hospital. The police are now investigating.
