Saxony-Anhalt: Abandoned suitcase at the train station: sniffer dog use

Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - A suitcase left behind at Magdeburg's main train station triggered the use of an explosives detection dog on Tuesday morning. After the four-legged colleague did not show any "display behavior typical of explosives" when searching the gray fabric case, it was classified as harmless and opened, the federal police said. The suitcase was handed over to the station's lost and found office. The federal police appealed to travelers to keep an eye on their luggage at all times. According to the police, the operation had no impact on station operations in this case.
