Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - The Saxony-Anhalt Ministry of Finance warns against fraudulent calls and short messages on behalf of tax authorities. Neither the Saxony-Anhalt financial administration nor the federal financial administration contacted citizens using automated calls or SMS, as a press spokesman for the Saxony-Anhalt Ministry of Finance announced on Friday. "Anyone who receives such calls or texts should immediately end the conversation and not click on any links in text messages."
Accordingly, the calls and SMS are attempts at fraud in which those affected are informed of alleged repayments with a fictitious tax number.
