Saxony-Anhalt: Group threatens passers-by and attacks police officers

Halle (dpa/sa) - In Halle, a group of several men threatened passers-by and attacked police officers. Witnesses alerted the police when the group wanted to take cash and mobile phones from an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old, the police said on Monday morning. Since the two young men did not want to give up the valuables, the alleged perpetrators struck. When the police finally managed to stop the group on Sunday evening, the men tried to attack the officers. The exact circumstances and the identities of the group members were initially unclear.
