Saxony-Anhalt: Leibniz Institute for Economic Research IWH turns 30

Halle (dpa/sa) - The Leibniz Institute for Economic Research Halle (IWH) celebrates its 30th anniversary on Monday (10 a.m.). Lectures and panel discussions are planned at the Leopoldina Academy of Sciences. Prime Minister Reiner Haseloff (CDU) is to hold the speech. The East German Economic Research Institute belongs to the group of experts who provide reports and forecasts on economic growth in Germany. For example, IWH economists were recently involved in the joint spring economic forecast by leading economic research institutes.
