Halle (dpa/sa) - In Saxony-Anhalt, professional help in raising children is being used more and more again. Last year 27,532 educational measures were granted. This was announced by the State Statistical Office of Saxony-Anhalt on Thursday.
The number of educational aids rose again after a decline in 2020. Nevertheless, according to the statistics authority, it is below the level of the years before the corona pandemic.
In 2021, help was most frequently granted in the form of educational advice, home care and socio-pedagogical family support. The main reasons for the help were, among other things, stress caused by family conflicts, limited parenting skills, abnormalities in the development of the young person or mental problems.
Educational support is provided by child and youth welfare organizations for parents and their children under the age of 27. It can be claimed voluntarily or ordered by a family court.
