Wernigerode (dpa/sa) - In Wernigerode in the Harz mountains, potteries, artists and creative people lure people to the historic market square on the occasion of the 31st Central German pottery market. After the opening on Saturday, visitors can browse the stands of more than 40 dealers and exhibitors and familiarize themselves with the old craft until Sunday.
According to the city, the offer ranges from traditional everyday ceramics and collectibles to unique pieces and sculptures. Fine porcelain can also be found among the market items, it said. Accordingly, none of the pieces are mass-produced - all participants are full-time employees and only offer their own products. According to the city administration, there is also a Pentecost Sunday open for sale in Wernigerode because of the Central German pottery market.
