Saxony-Anhalt: Pedestrian is hit on the crossing and dies

Laucha an der Unstrut/Halle/Saale (dpa/sa) - An 18-year-old driver hit a pedestrian in Laucha an der Unstrut (Burgenlandkreis). The 43-year-old was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, where she later died from her injuries, the police in Halle/Saale said on Tuesday. The woman wanted to cross federal highway 176 on a crossing on Monday evening. The police initially did not provide any further information about the crossing and the cause of the accident.
