Saxony-Anhalt: State parliament elects data protection officers and advises on the energy crisis

Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - The state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt is today advising on the increased energy prices. The Greens advocate the state's own rescue package to relieve companies, clinics and associations. The AfD is again demanding that the state government should lobby the federal government to ensure that the Nord Stream 1 and 2 natural gas pipelines are put into operation.

The election of the state commissioner for data protection is also on the agenda. There are several names on the ballot. In the spring, the choice of the favorite Albert Cohaus failed at the first attempt. The black-red-yellow coalition did not get a majority in the vote. Cohaus received 46 votes, 49 would have been necessary. CDU, SPD and FDP together have 56 seats.
