Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - Blue lights, water cannons, helicopters and the special task force: For the recruitment of young people, the police of Saxony-Anhalt presents itself in all its facets on the cathedral square in Magdeburg. The first day of action of this kind on Friday has the motto "hands-on police" and is intended to get young people enthusiastic about the profession in the future. According to the leading State Criminal Police Office, it is as authentic as possible. The contingent of the state police consists, among other things, of large and small technology, police dogs in action, a crime scene scene including forensics and the presentation of vehicles. Police officers are also available for talks.
The day of action was organized by the police departments in Saxony-Anhalt, the Police University of Applied Sciences in Aschersleben and the State Criminal Police Office in Magdeburg. According to the information, they want to ensure that the required number of candidates follows the recent modernization of the police force in the country. Interior Minister Tamara Zieschang (CDU) has also announced that she will "inspect" the large contingent.
