Saxony-Anhalt: Storms expected in the south-east of Saxony-Anhalt

Halle (dpa/sa) - In the south-eastern districts of Saxony-Anhalt, people must expect severe thunderstorms on Thursday morning. There is an official severe weather warning for the districts of Anhalt-Bitterfeld, Wittenberg, the Saalekreis, Burgenlandkreis and the cities of Halle and Dessau-Roßlau, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Thursday morning. Heavy rain is expected locally, which could lead to traffic delays. Also, people should pay special attention to falling branches, roof tiles and other objects. The severe weather warning is initially in place until noon.
