Saxony-Anhalt: the process of possible acts of jealousy in Eisleben begins

Halle (dpa/sa) - The trial against a 42-year-old man for attempted murder of his wife begins this morning (8.30 a.m.) at the regional court in Halle. According to the court, in June 2022 in Eisleben (Mansfeld-Südharz), he attacked his wife, who was separated from him, with a kitchen knife. The woman fled to a store with at least five stab wounds and survived thanks to emergency surgery. The public prosecutor's office suspects jealousy as the motive for the crime. If convicted of attempted murder, the man faces life imprisonment.
