Saxony: Attempted arson attack on Telekom premises in Leipzig

Leipzig (dpa/sn) - On a Telekom site in Leipzig, unknown perpetrators tried to set fire to a car and a radio mast. They had set incendiary devices, which did not unfold, the State Criminal Police Office said on Friday. Therefore no damage was caused. The incendiary devices were deposited between Monday evening and Tuesday morning. Because a political background cannot be ruled out, the extremism unit PTAZ in the State Criminal Police Office took over the investigation. The police are looking for witnesses who can provide information about what happened in the Dölitz-Dösen district.
