Saxony: CDU invites you to the state party conference in Schkeuditz

Dresden/Schkeuditz (dpa/sn) - The Saxon CDU also wants to debate current developments in the energy crisis at a party conference in Schkeuditz on November 5th. The Prime Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia, Hendrik Wüst (CDU), is expected to be the guest speaker, as the Union announced on Monday. In his invitation, the Saxon CDU chairman and head of government, Michael Kretschmer, pointed out the upcoming challenges. Now "clever political action, ideology-free analysis and strong decisions" are required: "Unfortunately, the traffic light government in Berlin seems blocked. Decisions are postponed, the course is disputed. Instead of a strategy, there is patchwork, mistakes and uncertainty."

"I am firmly convinced that all political forces that want to shape our country positively have a responsibility for how we can get through this crisis together. We must do everything we can to strengthen social cohesion in these difficult times," stressed Kretschmer. Right now it is more important than ever before to develop a plan for the future of Saxony. Two years before the state elections, the CDU is taking the first important steps towards its future plan for Saxony with its party congress.
