Saxony: Dresdner SC luggage disappeared: replacement jerseys

Dresden (dpa / sn) - The return journey chaos after the European Cup game in Italy last Wednesday brings with it further problems for the volleyball players at Dresdner SC. The team is still waiting for all the luggage and thus also the official kit for the second leg against Busto Arsizio's team, which takes place this Wednesday (7:00 p.m.) in Dresden.

As the six-time German champion announced on Monday, it is still unclear when the luggage stored at Munich Airport will be delivered. That's why the two outfitting partners of the DSC agreed at short notice to produce new jerseys for the second half of the first round of the CEV Cup.

The Dresden team had lost the first leg 3-1 and were stranded at Munich Airport on the return journey a day later. Because all domestic German flights were canceled due to freezing rain, the team had to spend the night in the airport terminal and was only able to travel to Schwerin for the Ostderby later. But the DSC women didn't show any signs of the exertion and won 3:1.

In addition to the many personal belongings of everyone involved, the luggage also includes cameras and other scouting equipment. The scout Christian Knospe, who is responsible for the men's Bundesliga club Lüneburg, helped out in Schwerin, but now the junior club VC Olympia Dresden is stepping in with his technology for the CEV Cup game.
