North Rhine-Westphalia: 91-year-old is hit by a car and dies

Solingen (dpa / lnw) - A 91-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car in Solingen and killed. The man wanted to cross an intersection on Monday morning when he was hit by a 41-year-old's car, the police said. The 91-year-old was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, where he died a short time later. The police initially gave no information on the cause of the accident. The car was secured and investigations are ongoing. The intersection where the accident happened was temporarily closed.
