Mannheim (dpa / lsw) - A week after a man's body was found on the banks of the Neckar in Mannheim, a suspect is in custody. A 25-year-old homeless man was arrested on Saturday at Cologne Central Station, the public prosecutor's office and the Mannheim police headquarters said on Monday. There is an urgent suspicion of bodily harm resulting in death. Accordingly, the 25-year-old is said to be responsible for the death of the 37-year-old, also homeless Slovak national.
The investigations by a special commission and the public prosecutor's office are ongoing. Investigators continue to ask for information and have put up flyers and notices in several languages near where the body was found.
