Freiberg (dpa/sn) - In a bilingual traveling exhibition, the Oberbergamt provides information on the development of mining in the border region of Saxony and the Czech Republic. The show was conceived and designed together with the district office Ústecký kraj, the authority announced on Monday. The focus is on domestic raw materials as a factor for growth and prosperity in the region, the subsequent use of mining landscapes and the prevention of risks from old mines.
The exhibition is scheduled to open on Tuesday in the foyer of the Oberbergamt in Freiberg. After that, it will be shown at other locations in Saxony and in the neighboring Czech Republic, it said.
