Leisnig (dpa/sn) - According to initial findings, a 62-year-old taxi driver suffered a heart attack at the wheel and died in a traffic accident in Leisnig in the Mittelsachsen district. An 84-year-old passenger in the taxi was seriously injured, the police said on Saturday. On Friday afternoon, the taxi got into the oncoming lane in front of the town entrance from the direction of Gersdorf. The taxi hit an oncoming car. This then collided head-on with a truck, it said.
Despite resuscitation measures, the 62-year-old died at the scene of the accident. The 48-year-old driver of the car, the 38-year-old truck driver and the occupant of the taxi were seriously injured. Emergency services took the three seriously injured to a hospital, it said.
