Kamenz (dpa/sn) - On average, women in Saxony still receive less money for their work than men. The wage gap last year averaged eight percent, as the State Statistical Office informed in Kamenz on Monday. Across Germany, the Saxons are still doing well: the so-called gender pay gap was 18 percent on average across the country.
According to the information, the survey is based on the reporting month April. Women in Saxony received an average of 18.32 euros per hour gross without special payments, while men received 19.97 euros.
