Groß Kummerfeld (dpa/sn) - A driver from Saxony was killed in a collision with a truck on a federal road in the Segeberg district in Schleswig-Holstein. The 55-year-old woman died at the scene of the accident, the police said on Friday. Her 51-year-old passenger was taken to hospital after being injured in the head-on collision. According to initial findings, the woman had hit oncoming traffic with her car on a straight stretch in the direction of Neumünster in the morning for an unknown reason and collided with the truck. Its 29-year-old driver was slightly injured.
The driver of another truck, who was also involved in the accident, was not injured. The federal highway 205 was closed for several hours during the rescue and recovery work.
