Spain The 'influencer' Helio Roque admits that he screwed up in the presentation of Yolanda Díaz: "I did it wrong"

Helio Roque says in his content description on one of the most famous portals for content creators (bigcreators.es) that "one day I uploaded a train video to TikTok and here we are". Maybe not a train crash, but this 20-year-old influencer and 133.7K followers has caused a stir on that social network. With these parameters, he was chosen so that the official presentation in Madrid of Yolanda Díaz's candidacy for the Presidency of Podemos por Sumar would also cover the youngest. And what if she has achieved it, but his controversial words: "Young people are not complainers, it is that we do not want to swallow. That in other generations abuses have been allowed ... well, having fought." This is the phrase that he has put on the target and that hours later, seeing what was coming to him, he has decided to rectify and apologize: "I did it wrong."

Roque had thrown in the face of previous generations of young people who had not fought to achieve social rights as currently, according to his criteria, it was being done: "I think that we are not taken into account to make decisions, we are called 'crazy' or 'glass generation' when we care about such important issues (...) such as mental health, we don't want them to exploit us at work, we're not complainers, we just don't want to swallow," he said. And he then pointed out: "That in other generations abuses of many types or any type of exploitation have been allowed, well, having fought, we are here to do it."

It was to announce this reflection and a runrún went through Magariños himself. Then all kinds of comments fell on him on the networks: "You must think that the labor rights you enjoy have fallen from heaven, that garden gnomes had to fight against the dictatorship and women did not go out into the streets," he wrote @Jagospierre. Others have supported him, and not exactly professional colleagues. This has been the case of the Minister of Consumption, Alberto Garzón: "Helio is 20 years old, and he has had the courage to speak in front of thousands of people. Anti-Franco militants have applauded his speech, and we have all understood what he was saying. But he is a victim of those who they would do anything to stop the strength of @sumar. Thank you @helioroque_".

The protagonist himself wanted to qualify his words and apologized in a video posted online hours after his speech at Yolanda Díaz's event: "I have made some statements that have not been very well expressed, I wanted to apologize for it, for nerves... it was the first time I had participated in something like that, I did it wrong". And he added: "I simply wanted to come to clarify it. I meant that the problems of these generations are much more evident than in other generations, not that there has not been a fight. I am very aware of the struggles of previous generations. Again, excuse me for having expressed myself badly", has ended in the video.

But he also wanted to write it on Twitter to try to stop hackers: "Now in writing, I apologize again for these words that of course are badly said; nerves have played me. I want to publicly show my gratitude to previous generations for all the rights conquered and it is our task now to expand them".

Helio Roque, a native of Badajoz, describes in his portfolio that, among many other things, in addition to being a "adorer" of Móstoles -he studies on the Getafe campus of Carlos III-, "I am a journalist (in this), a phrase that I repeat very often because it serves to justify everything I do". Well, in his own flesh he has just verified what it is to viralize content on his TikTok channel, which has nothing to do with exposing himself to the world of politics and having the media focus on him.
