"The Wager": Scorsese and DiCaprio are shooting again

Leonardo DiCaprio (47) will step in front of the camera again for star director Martin Scorsese (79). According to a report by industry magazine The Hollywood Reporter, the two are planning an adaptation of the book The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny and Murder for Apple.

"The Wager" tells the story of 30 shipwrecked men who land on the coast of Brazil in January 1742. You are part of the crew of a British ship that was on a secret mission and was wrecked. At first they are celebrated as heroes, but around six months later three more men arrive on the Chilean coast. They claim that the other group are mutineers.

It will probably be a while before the film comes out. The book by David Grann (55) is not scheduled to be published until April 2023. The start of "Killers of the Flower Moon", DiCaprio and Scorsese's unreleased western drama, is also not expected until next year.

In it, the Hollywood star can be seen alongside colleagues such as Robert De Niro (78), Jesse Plemons (34) and Lily Gladstone (35). "Killers of the Flower Moon" is also based on a book by Grann. Scorsese and DiCaprio previously worked together on several films, including 2013's The Wolf of Wall Street and 2010's Shutter Island.
