The anomalous or 'spring' heat episode of these last days of March will intensify this Thursday in the Mediterranean area and the Canary Islands, where temperatures will continue to rise until they exceed 30 degrees, while thermometers will mark lower values in the rest of the country .

The prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), collected by Servimedia, indicates that temperatures will rise extraordinarily in Valencia (12 degrees more than this Wednesday) and Malaga (11 more), and notably in Alicante (nine). and Murcia (seven) and areas of the Canary Islands. On the contrary, they will decrease in the rest of the country.

The hottest capitals will be Valencia (33 degrees), Malaga and Murcia (32), and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Seville and Zaragoza (30). Instead, it will soften more in Pontevedra and Tarragona (19), and A Coruña, Barcelona, Burgos, León (20).

"The winds arrive dry and overheated in the Mediterranean regions. That is why the temperature rises so much. In addition, this very dry wind from the west causes the relative humidity to drop and, therefore, the risk of fires skyrockets," according to Rubén del Campo, Aemet spokesman.

In addition, in the Canary Islands it may exceed 34 degrees in points in the south of Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Fuerteventura, all with the presence of suspended dust. "It's an atmosphere more typical of summer than of the end of March," said Del Campo.

Apart from the Canary Islands and the Mediterranean regions, temperatures will drop. The skies will be slightly cloudy and clouds are expected, especially in Galicia and other areas in the far north, where it could rain lightly.
